Position Summary: The Human Resources Director serves as a contact between the HR department and the organization at large. The Human Resources Director is responsible for coordinating all aspects of Human Resources for Grace Hospice and to assist in carrying out the policies and directives in accordance with the organizational purpose and philosophy.

Salary: $90,000 to 100,000 annually

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree with 5 plus years of human resources experience in a leadership role
  • Previous experience in healthcare related field preferred
  • Outstanding ability to prioritize in a setting that is fast paced
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Office and comfortable learning new applications
  • Proactive approach, strong work ethic and excellent coachability

Job Duties:
  • Collaborate with management in recruitment efforts providing support in the hiring process.
  • Work with staff and management to administer Human Resource policies (i.e. leave of absence, workers compensation, OSHA, pay policies) and employee retention.
  • Ensure workers compensation claims are properly managed keeping positive communication and return to work management.
  • Analyze employee survey data and work on continued retention improvement strategies.
  • Investigate, document, and provide guidance to managers and employees on performance improvement.
  • Assist with interviewing, background check process, proper use of hiring pay scales,
  • Ensure timely evaluations are completed, compliance of personnel files, and hiring process encompasses all needed steps/forms, etc.
  • Ensure compliance with all rules and regulations related to labor and Human Resource issues.
  • Coordinate responses to external agencies on employee related matters.
  • Assist with management development and training programs.
  • Oversee development of job descriptions
  • Provide assistance with policy development including polices and employee handbooks.
  • Administer compensation and benefits programs.
